Privacy at CORBEL

The short version. CORBEL is getting ready to launch and is not accepting work yet. The only personal data we collect right now is an email address you choose to give us, so we can tell you once, when we open. No newsletter, no tracking, and you can delete your address at any time.

What we collect

Only your email address, together with the exact wording of the consent you agreed to and the time you asked. Nothing else. We do not collect your name, company, role, interests, or any tracking or behavioural data.

Why, and the lawful basis

We use your address for one purpose: to send you a single notification when CORBEL opens. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by entering your email and asking to be notified, and then confirming.

Double opt-in

After you sign up, we email you to confirm the address is really yours. Your address is not added to the list until you click the link in that email. If you never confirm, the pending record is deleted automatically.

Where it is stored, and who processes it

The consent record is held on our own self-hosted automation system (n8n), running on a server CORBEL controls. The confirmation email and any launch email are sent through our email provider, Infomaniak (Switzerland), acting as our processor. We do not use a third-party newsletter or marketing platform.

What we will and will not do

We will send you at most one email, when CORBEL opens. No newsletter, no profiling, no unrelated marketing, and we will never share or sell your address.

Withdraw and delete, any time

Every email we send contains a link that deletes your address immediately, with no account or login required. You can also email jake@corbel.consulting and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

An unconfirmed address is deleted after its confirmation link expires, within about a day. A confirmed address is kept only until we have sent the launch notification, and is then deleted within 30 days of that email. A withdrawn address is deleted straight away.

Website analytics

None. This site runs no analytics, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no session recording. Nothing about your visit is measured. Any change to how this site handles data appears on this page before it appears on the site.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email jake@corbel.consulting and we respond within 30 days. If we get it wrong you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), but we would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
